The Greek Gods

A small finder

Which god looks after it?

Greek gods had domains, though they overlap and the ancient sources do not always agree. Type a subject, or pick one, to see who is responsible.

Try one of these:

Start with a word on the left. Every result links to the page for that god, where the ancient sources are listed.

A note on domains

The list of domains is a convenience, not an ancient rule. Homer and Hesiod give the gods titles and honours, but the neat labels, such as Apollo for the sun and Artemis for the moon, mostly came later. Where a subject belongs to several gods, as war does to Athena and Ares, the finder shows all of them.
