The computer game, Age of Mythology, has many cheat codes and the player may want to take advantage of them. To activate the cheats, the player has to press ENTER during the gameplay, then enter the cheat and press ENTER again. If you are having trouble distinguishing a chariot from a chimera or the mummies are getting pounced by the Viking warriors, you can rest better when you use the cheats available with the game. There are three different cultures to choose from in the game. You can choose to be a Norseman, Greek, or Egyptian. Many of the same gods and heroes were worshiped by each of these cultures in their mythology stories. Though their cultures were very different, they shared some of the same gods and heroes, although the names of them might be different because of the different languages and their meanings.

The game now has 3D Graphics and you can rotate around the map and zoom in and out by using the + and ? keys. The farmers do not have to be rebuilt as they were before. Once they are built they will continue to provide you with food. Other resources at your beck and call are fish, Trade Caravans (gold), god power Vault of Plenty (Hephaestus), and the god power of Gift of the Nile. There is no more stone as a resource but there is wood, food, gold, and faith. The Greeks gain faith by getting the spare villagers worship at temples. If you have extra villagers standing around, you can sent them to the temple for you. You are given an ox cart to collect your resources in and you can get the villagers to collect the resources for you. There is no need to rebuild a storehouse as you had to before.

FEAR THE FORAGE: Get the walking berry bushes god power. Other cheats include GOATUNHEIM: Get a god power that turns all units on the map to goats, IN DARKEST NIGHT: Makes it nighttime, ISIS HEAR MY PLEA: Get the heroes from the campaign, I WANT THE MONKEYS!!!!!: Monkeys galore, JUNK FOOD NIGHT: 1000 food, and many more, including more god powers.
